Peter took today off so we could take the big kids to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at the Leonardo downtown. It was expensive and I wondered if it would be worth it but we decided to do it since we both remember going to the Ramses exhibit at BYU when we were little. I was impressed with how much the kids liked it and how much we learned. They had items that dated back to 3000 b.c. (they call it b.c.e. but I don't). Brigham liked the huge "boxes" that they would put the bones of their ancestors in after they had died and the rest had decomposed. They wouldn't really let you take any pictures inside but this is a jar that N. Eldon Tanner of the church purchased that may have once contained some of the scrolls.
That night we had a movie night in our room. Everyone climbed on our bed and while I can't remember what we watched I know we had fun. :)
