April 14th Temple with Misty

A week or two ago I went to the temple to do initiatories.  I only had about an hour and a half before I picked up Eleanor so I was in a bit of a hurry.  When I got in, I realized that there was an hour wait just to get in.  I didn't have time.  Walking out I had the thought that I should go and do baptisms.  They welcomed me down there without a wait and I had a great time.  Baptisms were on my mind when I went VT the next day to my friend Misty.  She has been working on getting a recommend.  She said she was close but not quite their yet.  Temple baptisms were on my mind so I told her that though I didn't know what they required, maybe she should ask the bishop about getting a limited use recommend.  She was super excited and she had her recommend shortly thereafter.  I was thrilled when she called and asked me to go with her for the first time!  Such a great experience.  We went with some other friends from the ward the next day.  She loved the spirit she felt there.

April 9th Ferris Wheel

I made Martie and Eleanor run lots of errands with me today (Kendamas for the boys, Running store, Scheels, and Home Depot) so I figured they deserved a ride on the Ferris Wheel.  I wish my arms were longer so I could have gotten a better picture.  

April 5th Happy Birthday Brigham!

Happy Birthday Brigham.  It was conference so Peter took the older kids to the morning session and then we had dinner at Grandma Julie's house.  Mom made Texas sheet cake for Brigham and he wore his new pink suspenders.  :)  Happy Birthday to my super awesome boy.  Brigham, you astound me with your commitment and dedication, floor me with your strength, amaze me with your love, and teach me to be better with all of you actions.  Thanks for being such a cool kid.  

March 28th LAGOON

Lagoon is open and we got season passes!  It is going to be a fun year!

March 27th Dentist

First day of spring break= dental cleanings for Brigham, Porter, Martie, and Eleanor.  But, they got balloon animals (that lasted about 5 minutes).

March 21st Garden Boxes and Legos

I have wanted garden boxes for a couple of years and when Peter does something he goes all out and does it the best it can be done.  I LOVE these!   They are made of Cedar to keep the bugs out and have a pressure treated 2X4 around the outside to sit on while I weed.  Thanks dear!

Tonight we had plans to go to an Easter presentation in Orem.  Then we were late, then we realized it wasn't in Orem, then we realized it wasn't today.  No joke.  So, we went to see the Lego exhibit at the mall.  They loved it.  

March 4 Jump On It

Martie did her first dot to dot all by herself!  She pretty much rocked it.  :)

After school we made a quick run to Jump on It because it is free with our "Pass of All Passes" this month.  this is everyone jumping off one of the platforms together.

Februrary 24th BOBCAT

Porter earned his first Cub Scout award.  Bobcat at the Blue and Gold banquet.

Februrary 23rd Costa Vida Dinner

Love going out to dinner with my kids and I love that I have talked them all into liking a place that I LOVE to eat.  Costa Vida.  

February 21st Martie

Aunt Martie was in town visiting today!  

February 19th Science Fair and Martie's Program

Science fair DONE!  And I must say he did a pretty good job.  

And Martie had her culminating event celebrating the countries and continents wearing the sweater her dad brought back from Bolivia.  

February 15th Curls!

Curls for my girls this morning!  Love it!

February 14 Valentines Donuts for Breakfast and an AMAZING Dinner.

We went out to get donuts for breakfast.  Best Valentines breakfast EVER!  

Check out the valentines Porter made for the family with sweet Sister Frandsen, a wonderful senior in our ward that he loves to go and hang out with.  Everyone in the family got a specially made Valentine.

That night Mom and Dad went over to the Maxwell's with some friends.  Delicious dinner of scalloped potatoes, Alaskan salmon, onion soup, asparagus and homemade rolls.  YUM!  Lots of good food and lots of fun. 

And look at the sweet treat we had waiting for us in our bed when we got home.  Such a sweet boy.  

February 13th Culver's

Grandma gives us dinner on days that I take her in for Chemo but today she gave us money to go out to dinner.  So, we decided to try out the new Culver's.  The food wasn't anything impressive but we LOVED the shakes.  Julia was with us but had to leave before the picture to babysit.  :)

February 10th Bracelets

The girls had a great time making the bracelets Eleanor picked our for her birthday yesterday!  They were insistent that we make ours and then save supplies for Julia to make one when she got home.  :)

Februray 7th High Heals, Jazz game, Article of Faith

Darci from next door gave Julia a bag full of shoes and we all went through to see if they would work.  

Um...yea, no.  But someday I can blackmail Brigham with this picture.  :)

Later that night we went to a Jazz game.

Martie also copied the first article of faith down on an index card.  Great job sweetie!

Februray 4th End of CHEMO

Super awesome day.  Today was the last day of Chemo for mom.  I dressed up in my Lego costume and wore a sign that said, "She got cancer but held onto her faith and wouldn't Lego" while we walked around and handed out chocolate covered strawberries.  :)

To celebrate, Julia did my hair with the waver for our celebration dinner at Red Robin.
