March 26 BYU

Wednesday was fun from the very beginning.  We started out checking Facebook where we say some crazy kids climbing the walls.  We thought we would give it a shot and we did pretty good considering the short legs we had to work with.
Things started to fall apart a little bit when we added Eleanor to the top though.

We left Martie and Eleanor with Grandma Linda while I took the big kids to the Museum of art at BYU.  They had an exhibit called Sacred Gifts featuring the work of Carl Bloch, Franz Schwartz, and Heinrich Hoffman.  The paintings were amazing but we couldn't take pictures in there so this is the one we took outside the exhibit.  After walking around we took 20 minutes to sit quietly by our favorite picture and write about how it made us feel.  Here are our favorites:

I
I chose the same painting as Julia as well as another one.

After finishing up at the museum we had time to walk through a little bit of campus and eat lunch in the cafeteria (which has changed a LOT since I ate there with my day when he went to school 30+ years ago).  The kids loved seeing campus though.  When we finished lunch we went to get the littles and we took them to the BYU creamery with us.  EVERYONE loved that.
We were beat by the time we headed home but we still had one more adventure.  We stopped to see Elizabeth at Xlear.  The kids had never been to Uncle Nathan's big new building so they thought it was really awesome.  I got stuck talking to some people for a minute and sent the kids out to the car.  They got in, goofed around, fought, and got back out.  Then they realized they had locked the doors and the keys were inside!  Uncle Nathan and a Xlear employee tried to help us but eventually the police had to come and help us out.  Can we say LONG DAY?
