Wanting to have a worry free shopping day the day after Thanksgiving, I have talked Peter into letting me put the tree up the day BEFORE Thanksgiving. Love the tree and the work that the kids put into helping me put it up. This year was Martie's turn to put the star on the top. Unfortunately we didn't remember until the 12 foot tree was all put to together. So, Peter got out the extension ladder and held it up while she climbed up. The kids laughed because they had just been talking about cartoons where they leaned the ladder on the tree and how it would never work. Well, Peter showed them that it could work. :)
I also got new signs for the tree. I have wanted to put different "names" for the Savior on our tree for a long time and this year I finally got around to doing it. Peter helped me cut and make the boards that they went on and I love that our tree now has a Christ centered focus to fit the reason for the season.
