Emily Saddler said she would take us up Lamb's Canyon for a "little hike" to harvest some stinging neddle (which is super nutritious and can be made into a vitamin supplement or tea) and catnip which helps kids when they have a fever. She said it would be short so we both took our kids. Well after quite a l o n g hike, she kept saying we were almost to the top which overlooks the whole valley so we had just as well keep going, and going, and going. After 2 miles almost straight up we reached the top. Unfortunately we had told the little girls (Sophie and Eleanor both 3) that we were almost there 30-40 times so when we went to turn around they thought we were done. Sophie pretty much refused to walk any more. We carried her most of the way down and Eleanor a little bit of the way down but I couldn't believe how well they did. Brigham 10, Porter 7, Martie 5, Emma 9, Jackson 7, and William 5 did amazing! We didn't see them much as they were WAY ahead of us the whole time.
