Well this was an interesting weekend at our house. "Where's your bowl?" was the most commonly asked question as everyone but Julia spent the weekend sick. Everyone was walking around the house carrying a bowl in case they had to suddenly vomit. Even more common than the question though, was the call "Daddy." This happened more times than you would believe. Poor Peter, who was sick himself, would respond to constant, "Daddy" calls. This is a word that has always been said with excitement and utter glee at our house but this weekend it took on a new meaning. It seemed to always mean, "Dad, I puked in my bed again, Dad, I didn't make it to the bathroom and I need my pants changed, Dad I puked on the floor and it stinks" or "Dad you have three seconds until I am going to puke and I can't find my bowl." Nobody was happy around our house. Fortunately our wonderful neighbors, the Gordons, brought us dinner last night and that helped out. We seem surrounded by awesome people who are just waiting to bring us dinner. Anyway, the point of the post is that now I am feeling better, I can see how lucky I am to have great health. Each member of my family is healthy. We have no long term illness and I love getting over being sick because you feel so grateful just to be able to move without pain.
So, while my baby ticker is still counting up and I am having no contractions, today, I am just grateful to be able to move around and not constantly hear calls for "Daddy." Especially since he is back at work today. Thanks for your help Peter and thanks to the Lord for reminding us how lucky we are to spend 99% of our days truly healthy.

that is yuck! I guess these means the kids won't get sick after the baby comes! I don't understand the phenomena but a family must be sick either just before baby arrives or just after.
Oh My! That is not good! If I would have had any idea, I would have brought you a few extra bowls! Peter is a saint (and you aren't so bad yourself).
Word of advice...Can you just take it easy until Marti comes? Let's not break any ribs, rear end anyone on Bangerter, puke in our beds or poop in our pants?
The Hatch's are waiting for the call...I can feel it coming soon...
Crap! So the phone rings literally right after I posted that comment. I thought..."WOW! That was amazing!" But then...hmpf! Not today! Marti is in big trouble when she gets home!
