Anyway, while I am waiting on Marti, I have been trying to keep myself busy. I have finally completed her blessing dress. A great friend, Katie Reng, knit the bodice for me, and then I went from there to the bottom. Now, she did come over about every two days to help me fix my flaws, but for all intents and purposes, I did from the bodice down. So, here are some pictures.
I am also going to post some pictures of the blanket that I made and Peter called a towel. I decided it is great for her car seat and I put a little flower on it and made a burp cloth to match. It isn't quite as small as it looks as I folded it in 1/2to take the picture. Also, the colors aren't quite this bright; the first picture is more close to the way it really looks.
And, when I didn't have anything else to work on, I made another pink and blue blanket. Peter said this one is of adequate size and it is made of really fuzzy yarn so I think she will like it.
So, I finished one of my new year's resolutions, and since the baby wasn't here, I got to attend Julia's recital tonight. She did a great job playing a song called, "The Lady and The Dragon." Here's her cute picture.

O come on Adi... Friday would be a much better day... except that you would have to be pregnant for one more week and, having been there in the not to distant past, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Good Luck!!
You did a great job on the knitting...(remember I had to ask you if it was crochet or knit?). DUH!
Those are priceless heirlooms that she will keep forever no matter how small, bright, or flawed! Great Job...
Oh and ask Katrina but I'm fairly sure it's PI day not pie day although I guess we can eat pie any day of the year right?
I'm just grateful everyone used good sense and is willing to wait until Marti is good and ready to pop out. And, as nice as all the knitting is -- and the blessing dress is really cool, I can't wait to see what you do for the next girl -- J,B,& P will remember Mom playing pirates a whole lot longer than Marti will remember her blessing dress. Maybe not very long, but a whole lot longer than that.
I can't believe all these people that want you to wait to have a baby. HOW RUDE!! I'm letting Linda off the hook because she's done this a couple times (i think), however she obviously doesn't remember. It's sick that the timer is counting upward can't Peter do something to make that thing explode!! I want to rip it off your page and light it on fire and dance around it until the baby comes.
Your dress is beautiful. I am right now nearly crying because I can't put my boy in it. If I could just dress him in it for a day and have him blessed it would be wonderful. I don't know a single thing about girls but they must be worth it if you get to put something so gorgeous on them!! Julia's fingers look beautiful on the piano. I'd love to hear her song if you got it recorded. I'm sure she did wonderful. I'm glad you were there but wish you at least had a baby in your arms or something besides a ticker that now counts up! We warned everyone you'd be pregnant forever. I wish people would listen to us!!
It is a beautiful dress and I agree with LeShel. I love my boys, wouldn't trade them, still, sometimes I get sad when I see a pretty dress and know I'll never use it for a daughter. Maybe you'll have her today? I hope soon for your sake.
Oh Adi, I feel so badly for you. Maybe Marti will be an unbelievably amazing, wonderful, beautiful, incredible baby and an extra good sleeper to make up for making you wait and go a little crazy! And that blessing dress is beautiful, you are amazing!
