March 3rd 2014 Create

Today I went over to a friend's house and made a St. Patrick's Day wreath. Julia had picked out the fabric when we went to get fabric for her to make pajamas. The little girls had fun goofing with the spring one.
For FHE we played pictionary with playdough.

Best Memorial Weekend Ever!

We decided at the last minute we wanted to go camping for Memorial Day Weekend but it was too late to get a camping spot.  Unless. . .



we wanted to camp in our back yar where we could make our own firepit,

have plenty of space for our tents, and clean bathrooms and a kitchen within 50 feet of us!

Yep.  Pretty much the most enjoyable camping trip I have ever been on.  Admittedly, Peter and I moved back in for Sunday night but we felt justified since the boys moved to the trampoline in hopes of a softer sleeping surface.  Needless to say, we totally want to camp here again.  Cheap easy, and clean!

Thanksgiving Point Water Party

Way back at Christmas time, when all of Peter's family was in town for the Holidays and Nathan's wedding, the family decided to go to Thanksgiving Point.  Realizing that annual pass holders got everyone else in for half price, Peter and I decided to pay the extra and get a year pass for the family.  It has been well worth it.  We have been to the dinosaur museum several times, the farm, and the gardens a couple of times as well.  In addition to the admission, they also do fun things on Monday night for Family Night.  One of the greatest is the water party they have in the gardens.  they set up huge plastic slip and slides down a giant hill, kids race on inner tubes through water, they sling shot water balloons across the acres of grass, and they provide buckets and sponges for a huge water fight.  So, this was our first year and we loved it.  While the kids had a bit of difficulty their first time down the slide, once they ran into the Gordon's they borrowed some dish soap, lathered up, and had a much better second run.  It was a great time and on the way out they even provided us each with a Popsicle treat.  Fun times.
