Way back at Christmas time, when all of Peter's family was in town for the Holidays and Nathan's wedding, the family decided to go to Thanksgiving Point. Realizing that annual pass holders got everyone else in for half price, Peter and I decided to pay the extra and get a year pass for the family. It has been well worth it. We have been to the dinosaur museum several times, the farm, and the gardens a couple of times as well. In addition to the admission, they also do fun things on Monday night for Family Night. One of the greatest is the water party they have in the gardens. they set up huge plastic slip and slides down a giant hill, kids race on inner tubes through water, they sling shot water balloons across the acres of grass, and they provide buckets and sponges for a huge water fight. So, this was our first year and we loved it. While the kids had a bit of difficulty their first time down the slide, once they ran into the Gordon's they borrowed some dish soap, lathered up, and had a much better second run. It was a great time and on the way out they even provided us each with a Popsicle treat. Fun times.Wednesday, August 4, 2010
