October 17-18th Park City Vaca

Our super awesome neighbor, Rebecca Dearing, came over with some awesome passes to the Olympic Park in Park City.  She had six passes that got you in to do all of the following activities: 3 different ropes courses, drop tower, three different zip lines, and an Alpine slide.  We decided to make a little vacation out of it and got a hotel.  The kids had a great time.  I couldn't believe Martie did the big ropes course; I had a really hard time with it.  Eleanor was even able to do the littlest one.  Everyone got to do at least one zip line as well and we all did the alpine slide though Eleanor didn't want anything to do with Peter after his last crash on one with her.

After we had exhausted the park we went to dinner and then swam at the hotel.  In the morning they swam again wile I got some work done.  Then we did a quick little tour through the outlets and Brigham and Porter found their hats in The Children's Place AGAIN.  :)
Then we headed down to Salt Lake City where Grandma and Grandpa had purchased the big kids tickets to Thriller.  I knew that it wasn't good for kids under 5 as they said there would be lots of dark and then lots of flashing lights.  Once it started we knew it wasn't a good thing to be at.  It was interesting because they would do a really questionable one and then a cute one that would make you think, "oh, it must have just been that one.  The bad parts are over now."  Then they would put on a bad one again.  Finally we got up and left.  I felt bad t that we didn't leave earlier; I never should have gone, but at least we left and my kids know that I don't approve of what was going on.  A learning experience for us all I guess.
