Peter was on the float committee for our stake (he helped with the mechanical engineering part making the animals move) and I got to help with a bunch of glittering of flowers. It was a ton of work but it was fun for my kids to see and feel like "we" had a float in the parade. Before the parade, there is a "Float Preview" at the South Town Expo Center which is the best place to see the floats. It is in the air conditioning, you can walk up close, and you can move through them at your pace instead of parade pace. :) I took the kids in the morning and then that night Peter and I got to go stand by it, lead the kids in a seek and find game, and answer any questions people had. Above is a picture of my kids with the Saddlers and Below Peter is with the Maxwells, our neighbors, who also put lots of hours into the creation of the float.
