LeShel

God sent us down here in families so that we could have people extra close to us to help and be helped.  I believe He also sent others down that weren't part of our birth family but that would be such a blessing in our life, they would become family.  In my life, that is LeShel.  I met LeShel shortly after Brigham was born and we were nursing our babies together in the mother's room.  She had four boys and I knew instantly that I wanted to be friends with her.  I became her friend through jogging.  She was working her way up from run a minute and then walk a minute and I was thrilled to find someone who was at my level.  Before we knew it we were training for a marathon together (I guess we just didn't want our runs to end and the only way to prevent that was to go farther), working to put together the best school ever for our children, and serving in Primary together.

She has been there for me through every challenge I have faced since then and I love her like you can't imagine.  When I think of who I want my kids to grow up to be, I think of LeShel.  Perhaps this is why we gave Eleanor, LeShel as a middle name.  I think people who name their kids after somebody do it because they have great hopes for them.  They hope that they will have a desire to learn about the person they are named after and develop some of the traits they had.  I love the thought that Eleanor could grow up and be a friend forever to me like LeShel is.  I hope that when tell Eleanor about LeShel she will want to be that same kind of person with a strong testimony and a sincere love for everyone around her just like the person she was named after.
Anyway, now that I have told you how much I adore my best friend, let me tell you how happy I was when she came out with her baby Mathias to visit and be here for the blessing of Eleanor LeShel Jones.  I was super, super, super, super, super, super, super, super, super, super, super, super, super, super, super, super, super, super, super, happy.  Only a bit more that that.
Here are a few of the things we did while she was here:  Attended the General YW meeting, went out for Shakes and then onion rings, sewed skirts, went to DI, went jogging, had late nights watching movies with my kids, had dessert with friends,  made hair bows way late into the night, and most importantly, sat around and talked.  It was the best.  I swear my kids love her more than me.  It's OK though because they picked someone great to look up to.  Anyway, living in Kenosha Wisconsin, she doesn't get to come out often but when she does, we make the most of it.  Miss you lady!
