I'm Looking Over. . .

My kids think I'm the coolest mom in the world. At least they did for a minute, until Peter had to smash me down. But I'll get back to this in a second.
On Saturday our Primary had a service activity that was awesome. We wanted something that the very oldest and the very youngest could participate in so we went to the church farm. I was nervous but it turned out great. They explained to the kids that this farm grows alfalfa and the alfalfa is used to feed the dairy cows that provide milk to people who can't afford it. So, our job was to go through the field and pick up the garbage taht was there so that it woldn't end up in the food that was bailed for the cows. The kids loved it because they could run around free and everyone was able to help. It was a perfect day and the kids had a great time.
So, back to the original story. As we were walking, we started noticing lady bugs all over. Porter was obsessed and would stop each time he found one. Well, as he was looking at them, I found a four leaf clover! Then I found a five leaf clover! Julia and Brigham thought that I was the greatest. Until, Peter explained to them that while they looked the same, clover was not the same as alfalfa and if they looked closely they could find plenty of four leaf clovers themselves! So, mom is not longer cool. Now she is just the same old mom. Oh well, I'm going to find something else to impress them with. I think I won Porter back by letting him sit on a tractor that they had sitting there. I wonder if Julia and Brigham know that I can sing the whole Oscar Myer song!
