Draper Temple

We were fortunate enough to take our kids to the Draper, Utah temple yesterday and we had a wonderful time. Our whole family went, as well as Katrina, Adam, and Amanda. A few people had offered to watch Porter for us since we were all pretty confident that not only would he not remember the event, but he wasn't likely to be quiet. Well, we decided to take him anyway because I couln't bear the thought of Julia and Brigham sitting around 5 years from now talking about it, and then telling Porter we didn't take him because we didn't think he would remember it.
Anyway, to make a long story short, we did take him and I am so glad. He was quiet the whole time and loved saying "tempo tempo." Then, today in sacrament, someone was bearing their testimony about going to visit the temple and Porter again started saying,"tempo, temp." I said yes and he then he started saying, "tempo piee" I asked if he was saying it was pretty and he said yes. Then he started saying "e fun." I couldn't believe it and asked him if he was saying the temple was fun. He said yes and though he frequenltly says thing I don't understand, this was really clear-- at least to his momma.:) It was really cute.

And before church, Julia had written a talk all by herself about temples. I will paste it below exactly as she wrote it.

We were pretty impressed and we are sure taht her Heavenly Father is as well.
Anyway, we had a great time so if you haven't already had a chance to go, take the opportunity to do so.
