Thanksgiving Weekend

It has been a busy but fun week. We started out with Julia getting a darling A-line hair cut on Monday, an appointment for Mom on Tuesday, a fetal echo cardiogram for the baby Wednesday morning (Everything is fine. There is a microscopic hole between two chambers that should heal by itself before birth.) and then Wednesday afternoon we headed to St. George.
We got there at about 8:00 and then after running to the store, mom made two pies and a cheese ball and went to bed. Thanksgiving was fun. We decided to start a new tradition and eat ourselves sick. It was new because we didn't stop all weekend! Thursday Night we hit the hot tub and it was wonderful. It was freezing outside and everyone took a turn jumping into the big pool and running as fast as they could back to the hot tub. Julia, Brigham, Adam, and Amanda did it for $1, Porter did it so he looked big, Mom did it because everyone said she couldn't while pregnant, Katrina did it for two Cokes, and Peter and Grandpa did it just because everyone else had. It was too much fun.
Friday morning Mom and Grandma went Black Friday shopping. They didn't really need anything but Mom loves to go and since LeShel woke her up at 3am, she figured she had just as well go. Of course once we got to the stores, they were more than happy to show us what we "needed." It was fun and when we went back we had some family bonding on aunt Katrina's Wii. Porter packed around a guitar that wasn't ever hooked up but he would dance every song and thought he was the best. We also went out to Snow Canyon and saw where the Pioneers had signed their names on the rock with axle grease when they arrived.
Saturday, Mom was up for more shopping but settled for going out to breakfast at St. Helen's Diner with the family instead. Then Julia wanted to go to the spa she had heard so much about. Grandma, Julia, Aunt Lisa, and Mom all went and had a great time. I think Julia was a bit confused but kept looking at her "Brides" magazine while they scrubed, massages, and painted. Julia got pink and blue alternating with beautiful flowers wile mom got silver with red flowers. Mom got in a bit more shopping later and then went for a nap on the air mattress in the pool. Lisa, Jeff, and Grandma had all done it and raved so Mom thought she would try it out. She got in about an hour nap before Daddy came to join. We rested for a while until Peter, the engineer, decided to try and reach over to get the water bottle Porter had thrown into the pool. needless to say, the mattress flipped over and we were underneath. We were wet, and we were cold, but it was still somewhat funny.
Sunday was a day to sleep in and then head home. It was a wonderful weekend and it was great to spend so much time with family. Pictures are below as evidence of the great time we had.

Looks like a super fun weekend.
Julia: way to go on losing a tooth. I can't believe it! I love the haircut and your cute toenails.
Brigham: The pictures make it look like you had a super great time. I'm glad you got to be with your family.
Porter: Love the guitar. You look so chilled sitting in that pool.

I'm glad you got to be together and that is was so much fun.
