June 16th RAGNAR

Another Ragnar!  This year we had two teams so everyone got to run with a partner.  I ran with Heidi Groneman and Brigham ran with Mason, a 15 yo boy from our old ward.  I ran the 7.5 mile run up to Snow Basin but then only had a 2 mile run at 3 in the morning and a 4 mile run later.  Brigham and Mason, on the other hand, started with 4.5 miles at 2pm, then did 5 more at 2am, and finished it with a 10.5 mile run with a 2800 foot climb in elevation!  He went from Park City high school up over Guardsman Pass.  The rout was new this year and they knew the Ragnar hill was going to be the hardest ever.  So, they gave everyone who did it an extra medal.   But not only did they run it, the killed it.  Their overall pace was an average of 10.5 minutes.  They said as they were running the cars were lined up bumper to bumper to get up the mountain and EVERYONE was cheering them on and handing them treats, water, whatever they had.  So awesome.  Brigham is inspiring.
Our van: Mom, Heidi, Kenny, Dennis, Mason, Brigham;
