July 4th Independence Day!

Perfect Day.  Woke up and took Brigham and Porter to Riverton's run.  Brigham ran the 10K and for some reason he is the only one we got a picture of.  He took second in his age group.  Porter and I ran the 5K and he got a new PR at 39:34.

After our run we went and picked up Adam Eccles and met Dad and the girls at the Riverton pool where they dove for money.  I was amazed at how well everyone did.  Martie was in the 4 feet section and she went all the way down collecting tons of coins.  Of course all of the money was spent at the snack shack but everyone had a great time.

After swimming we went home to shower and then it was back for the races.  The kids did a 30 yard dash, a three legged race, gunny sack race, and a water balloon toss.  Brigham was able to win $6 with Adam on the waterballoon toss.  Julia won a bag of 300 Dum Dums at Bingo, and I took home a $25 gift card to a frame shop while playing Bingo.  Tons of fun.

After going home for a quick nap, we headed back to have a big sub sandwich for dinner and meet up with friends again for fireworks.  The kids had as much fun playing in the park before the fireworks as they did watching the show once in started.

Could anyone ask for a better way to celebrate the 4th?
