May 24th 14 LONG HARD MILES

Brigham woke up early to go do a LONG run.  Unfortunately it was pouring rain so we came back.  After doing some work and spending some time on Facebook seeing the runs that everyone else had accomplished, we decided to go get ours in.  So at 1:30 we left and had Peter drop us off half way up Butterfield canyon.  We ran 14 miles from there.  We saw the biggest snake I have EVER seen!  It had to be 1 1/2 inches in diameter.  I have no idea what kind it was but we jumped about 5 feet, screamed and ran faster than we ever have.  After that we were tired and it was just hard.  We hit 14 miles about one mile from home (which we expected) and walked the rest of the way home.  (Look at he dried salt on his neck)
I was beat!  We sat on the porch swing together for about 20 or 30 minutes.  I was still hurting so I said I was going to go take a bath.  Brigham asked if he could go play with some friends.  So, while I tried to get myself into the tub, he roamed the neighborhood and then went for a bike ride.  :)
Later that night I was able to get myself to the car and we went up Immigration Canyon to Ruth's Diner and had the best dinner with the Saddlers.  It was beautiful and delicious.
