It seems like every time I watch one of the food documentaries on Netflix I revamp our menu. Honestly though, I don't think it is because we haven't gotten it right; I think it is that we are constantly getting better. And "Food Matters" just made our lives a little better. Breakfast now consists of a smoothie for everyone, every day. We use spinach, kale, chia seed, vegetarian protein powder, banana, strawberries, and orange juice. With that we have either toast, eggs, or a small bowl of cereal and some vitamins. Lunch is my favorite. We all get veggie sandwiches which are delicious. I found this Greek yogurt jalapeno dip at Costco that just makes life good. Our sandwiches have lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheese, some type of spread and as soon as I get my alfalfa sprouts up and going they will have those as well. The kids take a fruit, string cheese, and broccoli and carrots with them as well. Anyway, love lunch. And then we have 14 "healthy" dinner recipes that we rotate through. I would list them but I am getting embarrassed by the fact that my longest post these last few days has been about food instead of my awesome family so I am going to quit now. :) Friday, April 25, 2014
