NOT POSSIBLE

I cannot be this far behind.  We have had so many things going on I have put my blogging on the back burner not realizing how long it has been. Well, today is the day to catch up on all my Sunday smiles.

I smiled when Peter spent about 5 minutes trying to get this picture of the sword he was playing with in the dark.  Brigham got it from Disneyland and it was a hit with Peter.

I smiled for the entire week when LeShel came into town.  I saw her and her sweet baby at the school on Thursday and then Friday I went to St. George with her for "Time Out for Women."  We had a wonderful time and as luck would have it, we both got a huge grin when we pulled up to our cheap hotel and found a Salvation Army store located in the parking lot!

I smiled hen we decided not to go to the Deseret Industries in Las Vegas because it means we get to save that for another trip-- like leaving your jacket in your boyfriend's car.

I smiled when I saw Martie wiggle her way over to Mathias and steal his binky.  Apparently she enjoyed it because she took it from him every time she saw him after that. (Smiles because it didn't bother LeShel that Martie wanted to share binkies with her cute boy.)

Smiles when we saw them sleeping together and each time we saw them in the car when we filled up.

This is us sitting at the conference.  We look homeless but we sat on the floor so the babies could wiggle and we could spread out.  It was fun.  I also smiled when I got to go out with LeShel, Lynne, and Cristy.  It has been so long since we have all been together and we have so much fun together.
I smiled when I saw the picture of Julia at her piano competition.  While I was in St. George, Peter ran carpool, took Julia to a competition, took Brigham to a Birthday party, got the kids to the primary program practice, and did the dry wall on the spare room in the basement.  How can I not smile when I think about him?  :)

I smiled when my neighbor introduced me to pumpkin carving tools. Being the cheapo that I am, I have never purchased these but they make carving uber (yes that is a word) easy. My kids were even able to use them and I purchased some after Christmas.

I smiled when my other neighbor showed off by carving an upside down pumpkin. Not as easy as you might think. He said it was an accident but I think it was just so the rest of us didn't feel inferior to his skills. :)

I smiled when I saw my kids on Halloween. Julia is the princess, Martie the pea (that keeps the princess up at night), and Brigham and Porter the knights that protect the princess. Guess who came up with this year's theme.

I also smiled when we made Mummy Pizza's.  Not the best but at least it put something in their tummies before all the candy.  We also had some orange drink with dry ice.  Dry ice makes anything fun.

I smiles when I went to Peterson's with Summer and Frankenstein (a senior citizen employee) insisted on dancing with me.  I thought Peter might be jealous but for some reason he wasn't.  Go Figure.

I smiled when my kids didn't complain At ALL when I took just over half of their candy for a pinata when their birthdays come around and another 24 pieces for a Christmas count down chain. They even gave some to their dad to replenish his mountain biking supply.
We all smiled when Grandma Julie and Grandpa Terry brought over the scariest mummy we have ever seen. I don't have a picture but it is about 2.5 feet tall and is one of those motion activated things.
I smiled when we introduced Brigham to a Chinese finger trap one Sunday morning. It lasted even longer than I could have dreamed.  It was the one thing we let him take to church.  :)

I smiled when Peter discovered how to feed Martie without her getting food all over herself! She actually likes it. (If you can't tell, her arms are in her jacket and by in her jacket I mean in the body part, not the sleeves.)

I smiled when I got insane deals at Kohl's. Peter and I both got a $10 off $10 purchase coupon plus I got another $10 off $20 purchase in the mail! WAHOO!

I smiled when I took Brigham to the huge Payless sale and he stood in line for 30 minutes while I shopped. I kept checking back on him but he wanted to do it by himself.
I smiled when I realized that everyone I knew that was sick is now better!  We'll see how long it lasts.

I smiled when my baby laid her head on my shoulder. She doesn't do that often when she is awake so I decided to just hold her and enjoy the moment.
I smiled when Porter insisted on me giving him more and more (about 5 minute's worth) of kisses.

I smiled when Abbey came over to her house to show us her pretty hair.  Her mom had tied it in ribbons over night and she looked like the cutest little poodle ever!

I smile when Porter takes a book to his dad to read to him and then as soon as he is done and Dad says not again, he runs it over to me to read and if I say no, he heads for Julia.

I smiled when Jen took my baby for me during nursery so I didn't have to have her in there with the older kids.  And this week Summer took her and even gave her a nap.

I also smiled when we had dinner with James (Peter's friend from the University of Utah).  They had the best salad I have ever eaten with the best dressing, delicious meat, and awesome potatoes.  You may think I am exaggerating but it really was incredible.  The people were great to.  They have four kids like us and their oldest is 8.  The kids got along great and they even had a little boy named Porter.  Perfect.

I smiled when I got our Christmas card picture done on Saturday.  I also had a great one of Katrina's family with their four dogs that I will post when I get it.

I had big smiles when I found Peter curled up with Martie in her crib. I have always wanted to do that. Now I know the crib won't break, that may be where I start napping. :)

I smiled when my kids finished earning their Christmas money at Elizabeth's house.  We went down to her house and helped repackage gum.  Between the three of them, the kids earned $50.

Smiles Friday night when we went to the bishop's house for his 40th birthday party.  They are the most friendly couple ever and they had a wonderful fondue party with chocolate, cheese, and deep frying meat. It was really different and fu but we could barely walk, we were so full, when we left.

I also smiled when I went to the school's Veteran's Day program.  It was so wonderful.  My Grandpa came up since he served in the Navy in WWII and the kids sang all of the military songs.  Julia loves the song and it was so fun to have her Great Grandpa Harward there.

More smiles for Peter this weekend as he helped Brigham on his 100 books.  I haven't been keeping track of reading so on Friday we had only read 40 books.  Peter had a read-a-thon with him and Brigham has now plowed through 81 books (quite a few of which he read all the words to).
So, lots of wonderful smiles and now I have a super huge smile because I am caught up!
