Sunday Smiles on Tuesday

I am getting more and more behind each week! I had to make this post though because next week I am going to have so many smiles I won't have the ability to remember the ones from this week, and there have been some good ones so here goes.

Friday I smiled when Julia let me do her hair for her recital. We wanted to do princess hair in Disneyland and for Halloween so we used the recital as a trial run. I took quite a few pictures because Julia seemed quite pleased with it.

I smiled later that night when I heard Julia perform her best recital yet. She played Ballade and did awesome. The camcorder had issues so I will have to record her playing it again later and post it but it was very impressive.

I smiled when Peter handed me this and explained that Brigham was trying to use the inhaler as a pump. Fortunately he didn't get anything out but it does beg the question, "Am I too open with my feeding of Martie?"

I smiled when Porter brought me his Lego creation. With everyone gone during the day, he is learning to play on his own and he was pretty proud when he brought this up to show me. He even asked me to take a picture and put it on the "'puter."

I smiled when Nathan and Jessica stopped by and played with the kids for a minute. Brigham and Porter got out their knight costumes and Nathan obliged them by engaging in a few fights.

Saturday night we had huge smiles when we did a Halloween trial run. This year, Julia is a princess, Martie is the pea, and Brigham and Porter are the knights. It was a fun night to dress up and we had a great time at the party. This is Peter competing in the crab walk while holding Martie. (We won)

I also smiled when we got to make Julia and Brigham into a double mummy. The loved it.

This little doll is my cousin's little girl. her mom used to have long beautiful hair just like this. She made the perfect princess Lea and was Peter's favorite costume.

I smiled when Peter brought in our last bumper crop of produce. All of it grew in the garden. There were a ton more carrots but apparently they weren't as tasty as the store bought. The tomatoes were though.

This last smile is from Porter. LeShel's kids always love to be with her. No matter what I did, they always wanted to ride with their Mom, go home with her, etc. etc. Anyway, I always thought, I want my kids to want to be with me that much. Well, Porter was my wish come true. He loves to be with mom. He wakes up way too early in the morning and usually lays in bed with me but if I have to get up and work, he will follow me in there and be with me as well. It is great to be loved.

I smiled when I got messages from LeShel this week. She can't wait to come visit and I can't wait to have her here. My kids miss her and everyone esle I know, wants to give her a hug and see her. I CAN'T WAIT!

Cute costumes! Way to go on Julia's hair, I'm way impressed! Also, congrats to Peter for not dropping Martie, his hold on her does not look real secure, it took me awhile to even figure out which way he was holding her. Have fun in California!

I was sad when I saw the kids Halloween costumes. In the past I've always listened to you get excited to dress them up. I've loved every minute of your joy! How could I not be there?? Sick world!

Love your kids and YOU!! Can't wait to see you. I even love Peter. BUT not like that, you know.

I am stressed because I needed to call you to tell you to be safe and have a fun time in DLAND!

We miss you and visiting with the kids in the morning. Spencer misses having someone to chat with on the way home from school.

I am still trying to catch up on blogs. I love your post - cute costumes (especially the pea!!). And I completely laughed at the inhaler/pump. Creative, cute kids!
