Today is a very special day! Brigham had his first day of school EVER, and Julia had her first day of 2nd grade! They got their traditional gift of school supplies (new crayons, markers, colored pencils, notebook, fancy pencils, notepad, and chap stick) and cookies and milk upon their return. It feels good to have them doing something productive during the day and I love sending them to a school where I know they will learn lots!

Brigham's favorite part of school was the friend game where they got to learn "everyone's name." Unfortunately when we asked who was in his class, he coulndn't come up with one. He also liked the tour of the school and at recess he played hop scotch, balls, and jump rope.Julia's favorite part was seeing Mrs Hatch (she has to make sure she get a ride to school this year), and seeing Brigham and Amanda at recess. She says her teacher, Mrs. Sinca, is the best one ever and she loved hearing about Romania and Dracula's castle, where her teacher comes from (Romania, not the castle).

look at your babies in front of the BEST school ever.
Oh my goodness! I can't believe your babies are so old! 2nd grade???? How did that happen? Also, Brooke wanted to make sure we told them "good job going to school guys!" Anyways it sounds like you had a great trip to Wisconsin (who knew you could have so much fun in wisconsin?)!
Yay for school! And funny - Ashleigh said the same thing about learning all the kids names but she couldn't even tell me one - not even the two she sits by. Maybe tomorrow.....
Brigham has got to be the cutest boy kindergartner in the whole world! I would walk by an just watch him. And he sat still in his chair!
No need to update the blog, Julia's favorite part of the day was seeing Mrs. Hatch.
Great idea--cookies and milk after the first day! I'm making a big number 1 cookie right now for Lucas' first day of first grade. Thanks for the idea.
