Was That Put Your Nose To The Grind?

So, today was a day that I have thought about and planned for a couple of weeks. For the first time ever, I hired someone to clean my house. Amanda Kelley is this awesome Young Woman in my ward and she agreed to come and scrub my bathrooms, sweep, mop, and vacuum my floors. It was awesome. She did a truly amazing job and she worked hard. I felt bad because it took her just over three hours but it looks great. I will have to find out if she thought it was worth it I know I loved it.

But, her hard work isn't actually the point of my story. While she was putting her shoulder to the wheel, or nose to the grind (whatever that means), I was putting my face to the pavement. Several people will know that I have never been really skilled at keeping my balance. I honestly can't count the number of times I have been running with Leshel, Peter, or anyone else, and fallen. And when I fall, I don't mean I trip. I fall all the way to the ground.

I did first today when I was rushing around trying to get everything off the floor so I could have my house cleaned. Julia thought it was odd that I fell walking into Brigham's room but I know myself so I didn't think it was that odd. Then we left the house to go kill some time at the playground at the mall. We decided to test out our new stroller and Julia was pushing it in when I went down a second time. I landed first on my right knee which wasn't that bad but then for some reason I didn't get my hands out until my face hit the pavement. I honestly didn't think I could get up. I laid there for a few minutes with Julia in awe asking me if I was OK and saying, "That looked like it hurt really bad." Then I decided I couldn't lie there all day so I got up and walked back to my car for a wipie. I wiped a bit of dirt and blood off my face and since I didn't want to tell Julia I couldn't go to the mall because of what I looked like, I bravely marched into the mall. As we walked Julia kept saying things like, "Mom, it's still getting darker." I explained that it was a bruise and I would be fine. Yes, my pride may be slaughtered and I may not want pictures with the new baby, but physically I will survive.
I have had it suggested to me that my multiple falls today must be related to my enormous size putting my center of gravity off. I decided to take this as a compliment. I overlooked a few of the implications and went with the part that suggested all of my clumsiness may not be my fault. :) So, here is a picture to show you just how big you have to be before you can blame your body shape for your clumsiness.

So funny!! On my mission every time my comp or I fell on the ice we owed each other something. She didn't fall down once. I wish I could say the same thing. You just have to learn to fall backwards and land on your bum--I've found that's the best way to fall!

What a gorgeous pregnant woman. I love that picture of you. I am not exaggerating at all. You look beautiful. way to go, you're going to make it!!
You may want to spend some time sitting so as to protect any areas not yet scarred.
I want to look as cute as you do. I'll even take the bruise on my face if my prego body can pull off the cuteness of yours!!

WV: Moesay; Life is moesay if you stay on your feet.

I truly am sorry you fell yesterday. I remember falling myself each pregnancy and I truly did blame my center of gravity being off due to the enormous round ball I was carrying around. But I have to tell you I did laugh out loud at your retelling of the story. You have such an energy and enthusiasm when you tell stories that I just can't help buy enjoy hearing about your adventures! And for being 9 months pregnant with an owie on your face, you look great! Really, with your great smile - that's what people notice.... Although, I am curious if anyone will take you aside and ask if you were beaten up... But that's for another story telling session, I'm sure. Try not to fall again today :)

I am sorry you fell! I totally think pregnancy makes you clumsy, it's normal! And might I say you're looking really good, and for a bruised 9 mo. pregnant woman you're looking really good!
