Where's the BEEF?

It's official. I have been feeling very weak (even for a pregnant lady) so when I went to the doctor on the 5th, I had him check my iron. And, I am anemic! Now, you can just take an iron supplement but supposedly there is a certain type of iron that can only be found in red meat and your body absorbs it best. So, I did it. I went home and ate two Arby's roast beef sandwiches. And, I will never eat one again. It was good for the five minutes it took me to eat them but it was not so pleasant the rest of the night. I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth-- until the next day. That is when my mom invited me to Sizzler for a steak. I ate all of that as well and it was pretty darn good. I don't think I have eaten any since then but it was good. I have decided to stick with the iron supplements and then eat meat on occasion, rare occasion, until the baby is born.

So what have we been up to besides meat? I worked the Schoolastic warehouse sale. I worked four hours on the 6th, and 8 hours on the 13th, and I loved every minute of it. When you work the sale, they don't pay you but they give you a $10 credit for every hour you work. We have a big bookcase of kids books but I am more into going to the library and not having to store books so I didn't know how I would be able to spend my $120. That was my first mistake. I had to go through my books and get rid of half of them and I still went $20 over. Needless to say, we are giving out a lot of books for Christmas! I loved wrapping them. Wrapping is my favorite part of Christmas. My kids only get four gifts so I wrap everything in their stockings and anything else I can find. I worked at ZCMI wrapping gifts with my mom one year and we had a blast. We spent ten times what we earned but it is so fun to see what people are getting and they are always so happy. If anyone needs wrapping done, give me a call. You can drop it off and I will return it or I can come to your house and do it.

Oh, and on Sunday, Peter and I got tickets to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Christmas concert. It was awesome. There were actually two really weird songs that have since given me bad dreams but they were by a guest singer, not the Choir. Anyway, it was really fun and amazing. They had bell choirs there and an orchestra and dancers. It was really cool.

Oh, and I think I have found the best ever buy at DI. I walked in and saw this huge King Size headboard that was in perfect shape. It is tall dark and handsome. I love it. As soon as Peter downloads the camera, I will post a picture. You will be amazed (especially when you hear I only paid $45). I'm a good shopper.

Since this is a rather boring post, I will end but first I want to try and post the Christmas "card" I did for our family this year.

so cute! I've been impatiently waiting for an update. I can't wait to see the picts. I'm sorry the meat left a bad taste. It's good to hear it though because every once in a while I crave it and I think maybe I'd like it??? Sounds like I should just stay away. I have tons of gifts to wrap. I'd love to have you join me. When's good for you??? I'm thinking whatever works with your schedule!

This is silly--but I can't wait till Christmas so I know what you're having. There is NO WAY I could have done what you've done. I would have peaked. We do need to get together soon. I think it everyday and soon I will give you a call.
